PaPaZao (趴趴走) began as a community engagement event that saw local director Jack Neo invite members of the public to join him on his weekly leisurely walks. The number of participants soon grew and now we are celebrating the 1st anniversary of this event!
Eventurous takes the lead
We were in awe when director Jack Neo approached us to organise the inaugural anniversary event for PaPaZao (趴趴走). The event was held at Sentosa on 2 July 2023 and it saw a whopping 1,400 participants in attendance!
With an event of this scale, we knew that the event planning needed to be on point in order to fulfil the expectations of Jack Neo. Our event consultants met up with Jack and his team to discuss the specifics of the event and understood the idea they had in mind. Once we were on the same page, we commenced the actual planning of the event.
The first issue we had to tackle was to pick out a suitable venue that could house all the participants, and have sufficient space for the setup of staging and equipment required. We also had to bear in mind that the main highlight of this event was a 3.5km walk, so selecting a location that met all these requirements was no easy feat. Yet, our team successfully found the perfect space in Sentosa. Participants would embark on the walk from Sentosa Boardwalk, cutting through iconic spots in Sentosa, before arriving at the key event area which was on Siloso Beach.
The Eventurous team facilitated the event from start to finish with professionalism that was unmatched. A key challenge was to ensure that every participant would be able to follow the designated route that was planned. This was accomplished by placing wayfinding signages at strategic points on the route with the help of our logistics team.
At the end of the walk, participants were invited to join the celebratory activities that were planned. This included performances by celebrities such as Terence Cao, Henry Thia, and Collin Chee. Participants also had the opportunity to win awesome prizes in a lucky draw contest, and everyone walked a winner! Our technical team was on-site to make sure that all the equipment was functioning properly to prevent any disruption to the entire event flow.
While everyone was rejoicing in the festive ambience, our in-house production team was busy capturing the vibrant and joyful spirit of the event. They successfully preserved the essence of the event and produced a high-quality video that was able to depict the jubilant atmosphere of this anniversary celebration.
